finally:) a chance to update my blogg. so many things have happened in the past one week ++ that i don't quite know where to start. perhaps it's best to begin where i left-off the last time.
dec10-13: church camp! this was one camp that i thoroughly enjoyed because i wasn't in the camp committee :) so it was relatively stress-free for me. being a happy carefree camper, you somehow see the camp from a different perspective. sure you don't get to stay up late with the rest of the committee for debriefing and reflection, but you get to participate in all the games! and you get to interact with all the people in your camp group that you hardly talk to otherwise on sundays. and you appreciate the speaker's message better cos you've had hours more sleep than the camp comm :)
now this is my testimony to God. He has blessed me abundantly through this camp. He has healed me spiritually (my relationship with Him was growing distanced because of all the december distractions) and physically as well i believe because i felt so refreshed just sitting in His presence and worshipping. The speaker was a pastor from Malaysia. The first thing that struck me about her was the gentle love she showed to everyone she met. Even though i never knew her personally, even though i had never met her before, i just saw her to be so full of God's love. it's indescribable, but she was just such a living testimony to God's abundant love and grace. now i know (because i've seen for myself) how God can use people for his work and his ministry. He worked though that pastor to touch me. when she prayed for me i felt (literally) a great load lift off my chest and then, an incredible sense of relief. it was a deeply personal touch from God and i knew that whatever sickness that i was burdened with (physical, spiritual) had left me. that was the first time i experienced God's healing in such a tangible way. simple and straightforward, nothing nebulous, just plain, indisputable healing and a revelation of how much and how deeply he loves me. that evening i just raised my hands to give God all the glory. i reaffirmed my faith in him (my God the rock!) and my love for him. it was an intimate evening spent in worship. i drew close to him and his presence was so real to me.
i believe that God touched all of us in the room that night. we each had a personal encounter with him. what i really want is to see all of us keep step with God all the time. i really hope that the camp and that night of worship will not be just a single isolated event, but a step towards greater intimacy with him. that is my prayer for myself as well.
i struggle with my walk with God every second of the day and i often get discouraged when i fall away. but you know what? i will never stop struggling.
all glory to God! he has conquered sin and death.
